Dogtown Discipleship

The Dogtown Discipleship Program is a ministry of The Salvation Army Santa Monica Corps whose purpose is to help individuals deepen their faith in God, mature their relationship with Christ, and grow in obedience to the Holy Spirit, as mission-minded followers and disciples of Jesus.

The Dogtown Discipleship program is a year-long internship consisting of worship, study, and service components, that occur within the life of the Corps and its surrounding community – the city of Santa Monica.

The goal of this program is to teach individuals to live and love like Jesus in real life – no matter where they are, what they are doing, or where they are going. Discipleship is a way of life, not a temporary journey. Those in this program can be in school, working, or considering this a “gap year” alternative – but being in community, being discipled, and learning to live intentionally and missionally in any context is all part and parcel to this way of life.
